Pipeline Inspection and Testing

Inspecting pipelines is the first line of defense for a properly maintained system, and verifies work done by other contractors. Testing pipelines ensures that your system will work in the way you need it.

Inspection

Remotely operated video cameras  provide accurate pictures of pipeline conditions, assisting with maintenance of existing lines and the acceptance process of newly constructed lines.

All pipeline inspections are recorded on VHS with audible explanations of conditions. An on-screen display of manhole numbers, dates and proper linear footage are provided along with a correlating written document.

Great Lakes TV Seal can:

  • Physically inspect larger pipeline

  • Inspect laterals from either the main line or from the cleanout

  • Inspect remote systems not normally accessible to regular vehicles, including land or water

  • Operate inspection systems in areas requiring little impact on the surroundings

Testing

Great Lakes TV Seal is able to test newly installed pipelines, often while the contractor is still installing pipe, saving both time and money.

Great Lakes TV Seal offers:

  • Pressure testing

  • Deflection testing

  • Water main testing

  • Joint testing
